What’s Strength?

Strength is showing weakness. Strength is accepting when you are deserving of an award or accomplishment.

  1. the quality or state of being strong, in particular.
  2. a good or beneficial quality or attribute of a person or thing.

Strength is showing weakness.

Strength is accepting when you are deserving of an award or accomplishment.

Strength is standing up for what is right, especially when it’s not easy.

Strength is being able to ask for help when you need it.
Strength is helping others when they need it.
Strength is being a woman and empowering other women. Not tearing them down.
Strength is the ability to recognize your talents and complementing them by acquiring knowledge.
Strength is showing compassion.
Strength is not tied to our ego.
Strength is defined differently by different people. How do you define strength? The definition of strength differs from person to person because people go through varying battles. The moments that have defined what strength is to me is, most likely, different from your defining moments. Strength is learning from your mistakes and capitalizing on them.
How can we learn if we do not fail? Admit failure, don’t bury it in shame and pride. The more we burry, the deeper the hole gets in our hearts and our confidence. To me, strength is many qualities. Most importantly, strength is being able to balance emotions and reason. This is the rule of balance.

How does your definition of strength affect what you do daily?

I have an elephant tattoo on the back of my neck. I got it a few years back because, for me, it symbolizes strength.
Here is a little blurb about why I picked this as the strength animal:

Raising an elephant is a 16-year commitment and often takes a village.

“The largest land mammal on the earth has one of the strongest bonds between her calf. With the longest gestation period of any mammal (22 months), elephant moms nurse their calves for four to six years. Even after they are weaned, elephants stay with their mothers for about 16 years.  (Personal note: I talk to my mom every single day)

Even more impressive — elephants, which live in tight-knit matrilineal family groups, are really raised by more than one female in the herd. In a phenomenon called “allomothering,” sisters, aunts and any other females will help care for the baby, giving mom a much-needed break. And it’s a full-time job to raise a baby elephant, who are known for being entirely reliant on mom”. ––543168457.html

“Many African cultures revere the African Elephant as a symbol of strength and power. It is also praised for its size, longevity, stamina, mental faculties, cooperative spirit, and loyalty“.

XOXO, Adds

One very pure form of strength is kindness. To understand this is the beginning of wisdom.
